Best protocol for file sharing over internet
I am currently using an Apple server with AFP to share files in our LAN and over the internet. But I will need to also connect these with windows computers also. Obviously AFP cannot be used with windows computers.
What would be the best protocol for sharing files over the internet from our central server (hosts alot of word documents and databases), that can be used both with windows and macs?
I am thinking of using SFTP for this. Also can a apple server use both SFTP and AFP services (so i can use AFP locally on LAN and when im outisde with my windows laptop i can access sftp over internet?)
